PAMAR – Celebrating the Culture of the Americas

Casa Cultural Dominicana USA Inc., founded by Rosa Ayala, is a cornerstone of Dominican cultural advocacy in New York City, celebrating heritage, arts, and community empowerment.
Casa Cultural Dominicana USA Inc. is a nonprofit organization established by Rosa B. Ayala, a trailblazing Dominican-American activist and cultural leader. Based in the Bronx, New York, the organization is dedicated to promoting the rich culture, history, and artistic traditions of the Dominican Republic within the United States. Its mission is to foster pride, unity, and cultural awareness among Dominican communities and beyond.
Rosa Ayala, born in La Vega Real, Dominican Republic, has been a driving force in elevating Dominican identity in the diaspora. She is widely recognized as the founder of Dominican Heritage Month, a celebration that honors the contributions, legacy, and vibrant traditions of Dominicans in the U.S. This initiative has grown into a nationally recognized observance, spotlighting Dominican achievements in arts, politics, education, and entrepreneurship.
Ayala also played a pivotal role in creating La Gran Parada Dominicana del Bronx, one of the most iconic Dominican parades in New York City. This annual event brings together thousands of participants and spectators to celebrate Dominican pride through music, dance, and cultural displays. Her leadership in this parade helped establish it as a major cultural institution in the city.
Casa Cultural Dominicana USA Inc. serves as a hub for cultural programming, including:
-
Art exhibitions and theater performances
-
Educational workshops and lectures
-
Community outreach and youth engagement
-

The organization also maintains an active presence in civic life, advocating for Hispanic and immigrant communities and supporting initiatives around women’s empowerment, human rights, and sustainable development.
Through decades of tireless work, Rosa Ayala has become a symbol of cultural resilience and innovation. Her efforts have not only preserved Dominican traditions but have also built bridges across communities, making Dominican culture an integral part of New York’s multicultural tapestry.
